Wholehearted teaching
I came across this 'manifesto' in a parenting book written by a professor of Clinical Social Work at UT - Austin, Brene Brown. While I completely understand how this could seem trite, fluff, or simply repackaged ideas in a new and somewhat distracting font, when I replace the word parent with teacher, there are still several lines that at the least serve as good reminders for me as a teacher of young learners or really any age - even with the fancy font.

I am a big fan of Brene Brown! These are tenets I try to bring to my parenting everyday. Thank you for sharing this manifesto...and thank you for your commitment to the hearts and minds of our children.
